Focus on Toot

Glimpse of Toot chillin.

It may not seem as so, but this Pitbull has gone through a lot.  With her on going mange medication and treatment, this pest disease seem to too hard to get rid of.  But she looks much better.  Toot was nearly balld, with sores all over her body with blood.  We never really found out how she acquired it.  I think is when we took her to Pet Smart for grooming.  A week later she started loosing her hair.

I tried everything, from Tea Tree Oil, to Apple Cider Vinegar treatment,  nothing seems to work and it just got worst.  So eventually we took her to the vet and got her and Roxy matiban dip.  And She quickly started getting better.  but needed this expensive treatment for $20 per dip per dog.  A month of treatment, on a weekly basis, started showing much improvements.  But she still need more treatments as you can see, her body hair hasn't fully recover and she still shows pinkness.  Pinkness is part of signs that your pittbull has mange.

I love my full of character pitbull dog.  As my daughter says, Toot thinks shes a family member and Roxy is the pet.

Playing with Leash

Toot have really embodied the art of playing with her leash.  Its truly her #1 favorite toy, which I sometimes forbid.

It really began with Toot when she was just a pup.  She always did like to play tug of war with her leash.  I just didn't know that when this pittbul grows up, tug of war games become a bit too rough for me.  But Roxy seems to enjoy it.

Toot Lovin the Grass

She's always looking for that perfect patch of grass to roll over on.

My pittbull Toot rolling on grass

Don't take her out after bathing or she will roll on grass

Don't let her out after flea spray, she will roll on that grass

My pittbull loves that grass

My dog was attacked by another dog.

I don't know if you could say my pittbull was attacked.  Ok, maybe she wasn't.  According to my daughter, who was walking the dogs, out dogs escaped from her grasps.  And headed to our neigbhor's pittbull that was chained up by the side of their house.  I heard her scream and I ran out to see what it was about.  At first I thought Roxy was hit by a car.  But it was worst.  When I finally found them next door, the neigbhor's dog had Roxy in between her fangs.  I went into panicked mode and started kicking and punching the other.  Finally the dog gave in and let her loosed.  She ran home, probably traumatized from reactions.  Afterwards, I felt sorry for the other dog over my violence.  But I wasn't gonna let her kill Roxy.  Roxy seems to be healing good but she's still apprehensive but slowly returning to her self.

This incident really made me realized how much I hate people who fights dogs.
