7 days old pitbulls

Finally they are out of my bedroom closet but they are still in my bedroom.  They needed more space.  My close have become too small for them and Toot have been stepping and sitting on them.  So to give Toot more room to settle and be able to feed with ease, we moved them out of my closet.

As you can see from the picture above.  Some of the pups are feeding and some are sleep in a plastic bin.  We did this to rotate the pups in to two groups.  To make sure every one feeds properly and not struggle so much for tits.

Here are more adorable photos of our 7 days old pit bull puppies.

Day Six - 6 days old pittbulls

I thought by now, they should be out of my closet and somewhere else.  I haven't been able to get some proper sleep.  I keep a watch over them.  Making sure sure Toot is not laying or suffocating them.  I was told that she might eat some of the pups if she feels that they won't make it or whatever.  and I also noticed that since there are 12 of them and Toot only have 10 tits, some wanders to her vagina and sucks on the wrong fluid, YUCK!   So I'm closely monitoring that and quickly put a stop to it.

Toot is still very wary about Chopper, (our 2nd Pitbull, whose only 3 months old) being so close to them, and that is one reason why they are still living in my closet.  But I can't wait to move them elsewhere in the house.  Because they really smell.  Even when I changed their blanket daily.

Day 3 - of Toot's New Born Pups

At three days old, they are still in my bedroom closet.  We keep the blanket that they sleep in constant rotation with new clean blankets.  So we constantly have the washing machine running.  And because we have a fairly warm weather still, we have no problem drying the blankets outside.  That's should save some money for not using a dryer.  She has used a lot of towels.  Toot is still discharging plenty of blood.

She's very protective of her pups.  So when friends stop by and check them out, they have to hurry look and leave the room.  Toot's gets quickly aggressive by standing with the quickness and gives her growl following some serious barking.  Talk about a protective mother.

Anyway here are some photos I've taken.

Just a few follow up photos for you guys!

Toot with all twelve of her pups!

The litter box sleeping...

They love the sleep under and over one another!

Day One

10-06-2012
Today hasn't shown much difference from yesterday, except more eating and pooping that Toot eats and cleans soon as she smells it.

Here is the only blue and white male we have out of the pack!

He looks much like Bella except for the burglar eye
and he doesn't have any blue on his face, just on his body.

This is Snow, the female all White pup of the litter box!

Another view of Snow.

An overview of the litter box!

The day/night of birthing 10-05-2012

We didn't even think she was pregnant.  We just thought, that she was eating well and getting fat.  We were oblivious to the fact that Toot has gotten knock-up.  I started seeing decline in her activity.  She was less active and belly was getting huge on each sides.  Nipples were hanging out and her private area was potruding abnormally.  We just thought she coming of age.

I remember seeing a big white dog in the backyard one day.  But it was too dark to really tell what it was I saw.  I thought it was impossible for any dog to enter our backyard.  Even this day I was telling myself there's no way that was a dog, maybe it was a big white cat.

But even Jamie said she has seen that white pitbull in our front yard before and even came close to our porch area.  Well at least we think that he's the father of our the pups because they pups came out with white.

So we have 5 black and white, 4 Blue and white and 3 all white pitbull puppies.  There are 4 girls and 8 boys.  and we haven't decided which we are going to keep.  I know I want atleast two.

Meet Bella.  She was saved by the Bell (Yell).  No one was home and both our dogs were outside.  I got home, but no keys.  So I waited for Jamie to arrive.  And she pulled up before I could even turned my phone off.  I called for Toot and Chopper and found them in the backyard.  Toot ran for my bedroom and ignored the dog treats I bought for them.  So I let her in my room and she jumped on my bed.  I saw blood on the bed sheets so I checked her rear and sure 'nough, she was bleeding.  I got worried that she might have given birth outside so I headed to the backyard.  I saw something moving and whimpering in the middle of the yard but it was little and white and moving.  I thought it was a injured bird.  But as I got closer, it was freaking Bella the first of Toot's litter.

This is number two,  my daughter proclaimed him Hitler!  I thought the shape of the black hair on his head looked more like a sleeping mask or a mustache, but she claimed that it looks more like Hitler hairstyle.

As you can see Toot is exhausted after only giving birth to two puppies, he just didn't know what she was in for, she had ten more to go!
